Hey family,
Here's a recap of my last day in Italia and how I caught the itis in Burano. Okay, for a smaller person, I can eat with the best of them. So when they told us to eat breakfast and we won't eat again until dinner time, I thought this man had lost his mind. We had a full day planned to "get lost in Venice" and I found myself craving food just short of lunch time. We grabbed some gelato and then headed for this wine bar called Teamo that had rave reviews with a special of vegan lasagna (pictured below). It was just what I needed and I had two hours to walk off this meal, so I figured I would be good and hungry once I got to Burano.

Burano is a small island off the coast of Venice and they are known for their colorful building and hand made lace. The place itself was simply breathtaking, so much so that I will have a post following this with just pictures of it. When we sat down at the restaurant, I quickly found out that even vegans can catch the itis in Burano. We had a five course meal and it was EXHAUSTING. The food was great, but we began eating around 3pm and did not stop until 6 PM. Here's a small peak into the meal

Pasta with Vodka sauce

Vegetable medley

Grilled eggplant and peppers

Full-sized pizza with more veggies on the side

Almond crunch and treats for dessert
Plus plenty of wine, liquor, soda, juice and water! Talk about being stuffed!
Peace and Love,
